Set
in the 1970s, this charming Alan Ayckbourn comedy will have you laughing
throughout.
We
meet Graham (a self-made businessman with an eye for the ladies) and his
downtrodden wife, Anna, at her late mother’s wake. Anna's brother,
Leonard who is recently divorced and never seems to grow up, is also lodging at
their mothers' house.
The
funeral appears to have been arranged by Graham's employee, Peter (the sporty,
self-involved type), who visits their house often with his beautiful fiancé,
Joan. Joan is quickly the focus of a lot of male attention but not
everyone is happy about Cupid's arrow being shot in all directions!
Everything
happens under the watchful eye of Bernard – a garden gnome! When everyone
is constantly at each other’s throats and getting the "wrong end of the
stick", who will get the girl? How will it all end?!
