LERA has over 500 members representing 80% of households on the Links Estate in the London Borough of Bromley. It was founded in 1991 as a focal point for issues affecting both the Estate and the immediate locality. LERA produces a regular Newsletter which is delivered by our Street Representatives to all our members. It is a story of true courage love and loyalty, following a group of airmen and their wives during the course of one day. Set in 1942 at the Hotel Falcon near an RAF Bomber Command airbase on the Lincolnshire coast during the Second World War, it involves a love triangle between a pilot – Teddy, his actress wife – Patricia and a famous film star, and Peter Kyle, her ex-lover. An unexpected and very dangerous bombing mission over Germany ensues, pitting emotional conflict on the ground with aerial combat in the skies.
