The GDPR, which came into effect on 25th May 2018, has implications for the way we hold and use information about our members. LERA takes all reasonable steps to enable any personal information we collect from you to be treated confidentially.

Our membership lists contain your name and address and any other relevant details. These lists are held by our Treasurer/Membership Secretary and referred to by our Street Representatives to account for the membership and also may be used by members of the LERA Committee when we need to contact you. We also hold the email addresses of some members which we use to circulate and seek information and to communicate with them over specific issues and concerns.We also occasionally collect certain personal information from members via LERA’s Facebook Group and website.

We will never divulge your personal information to a third party without your consent.

From time to time we will contact you to tell you about matters concerning our Estate or the local area.This may be done by personal contact or by newsletters and other briefing notices or email or via our Facebook Group or website.

If you have any concerns about the way we collect and store your data, please get in touch with our Chair or a member of our Committee.

Unfortunately due to the nature of Facebook, we are unable to guarantee the privacy of any personal data that is posted.Members should be aware of this when posting messages and work within the guidelines contained in LERA’s Information Protocol and Facebook posting policy.
