Burnt Ash Library Reading Group September

The next meeting at Burnt Ash Library is on Thursday 27th September at 2.15 pm and everyone is welcome.

The book to be discussed is:-

Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey

Oscar and Lucinda is a moving love story and a historical tour de force that is also powerfully contemporary. A novel which tells the story of Oscar Hopkins, an Oxford seminarian with a passion for gambling and for Lucinda Leplastrier, a Sydney heiress with a fascination for glass. The year is 1865. When they meet on the boat to Australia their lives are changed for ever.
