BADA play 1st to 3rd June The Accrington Pals

The play is set in Accrington and the Western Front during 1914/16 and the 'Pals' are friends, neighbours and workmates from the local volunteer battalion who march high-spiritedly off to war, hoping for a break from the grinding poverty of everyday life. Their experiences in the trenches are contrasted with those of the women in the communities left behind.
Sometimes very funny, sometimes sad, the play is always poignant and paints a moving and powerful picture of the devastating effect the price of optimistic patriotism and a military strategy found wanting had in changing civilian life during the First World War.
This production is BADA’s entry for the 2017 Bromley Theatre Guild Full Length Play Festival.
It is directed by Mair Lloyd-Roberts and runs from Thursday 1st JUNE - Saturday 3rd JUNE

in St Andrew’s Hall, Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley, BR1 5AF

Tickets £8 - Box Office 07482 952550
